Interview With Dj Saved M.L.
What’s the story behind your artist name — and does it reflect who you are today?
This name was given to me by a good friend of mine Tommy Vee, an Italian DJ famous for one of his world hits "Moony - Dove". He asked me why don't you call yourself Dj Saved M.L.? and I asked him what M.L. meant and he said "my life". I like it! I answered him and since then I have never changed it. If you think about it, it's true, music saves people.
Which song of yours means the most to you, and what inspired it?
My favorite record is called “Speak” I had a big pleasure working on it with Tyl0, it was an inspected hot track released in 2009 printed on vinyl and supported by the legendary Armin Van Buuren.
How would you describe your sound in three words — and why those?
Dreamy - Warm - Powerful
Couse when you listen to my music you can dream with the atmosphere of the break bout you can also dance when the drop comes
What was the moment you truly felt like an artist — not just someone making music?
When my records are played by national and international radio station and thanks God it happens often
Who are your biggest musical influences, and how do they show up in your work?
For sure Tïesto his my favorite artist producer ever, I love what he does and his sound, I get lot of inspiration from him
What’s your creative process like — from a blank page to a finished track?
Usually I start a project just playing randomly the piano, once I get the good idea then I start to make the groove, bass, always trying to create something new and different like my new upcoming track called “Eagle” with Otto an amazing voice from Sweden
If someone’s hearing you for the first time, which track should they start with — and why?
Well, Speak, Waiting for Me and Eagle are the main songs couse they represent me my soul and my energy so the listeners can feel that
What’s been your most unforgettable moment on your music journey so far?
For sure when me and my colleague Tyl0 were listening to ASOT and our track was playing by Armin and later also by Erik Prydz during his set on YouTube, it was insane
What do you want people to feel when they hear your music?
Feel pure love and power at the same time and dance without stopping, good vibes only
What’s next for you — and what should fans be excited about?
As I mentioned before, my new upcoming song “Eagle” is ready and I can’t wait to released it and let all of you guys to listen to it. I’ll play it live at Monday Bar an incredible festival in Sweden on May 2nd to 4th, I’ll be alongside the legendary Ferry Corsten. Paul Van Dyk and many others, can’t wait for this!
